High Five 4 Paws is our Annual Fundraiser. It is our biggest fundraising event of the year. It is held at the Onalaska American Legion. We hold a Silent Auction and a Walk-a-Thon every year. We have food and drinks, live music, and several booths for purchasing items, microchipping pets, and trying reiki.

Paws 4 Independence participated in Stand Down 2015 in La Crosse, WI to help inform veterans about what Paws 4 Independence has to offer and the assistance Service Dogs can provide.
Stand Downs are "events providing supplies and services to homeless Veterans, such as food, shelter, clothing, health screenings and VA Social Security benefits counseling. Veterans can also receive referrals to other assistance such as health care, housing solutions, employment, substance use treatment and mental health counseling. They are collaborative events, coordinated between local VA Medical Centers, other government agencies and community-based homeless service providers." - VA.gov
